The Frozen Customer Category Manager (CCM) is responsible for the selling efforts with the Kroger Company as a member of a Kids- Snacks and Beverage Team. The position represents Kraft Heinz to the Kroger's Category Management and Buying Office personnel. The Frozen CCM manages assigned categories and responsibilities effectively and acts as a liaison between Kraft Heinz CBT and the Kroger's HQ Team. They will be responsible for all the selling activities across the Kraft Heinz portfolio for their assigned customer. The Frozen CCM delivers revenue and share objectives- pursues business strategies to grow the company franchises through the use of customer-specific programs- provides category management expertise to the customer- ensures that coordinated cross-functional sales value is delivered to the customer through implementation of the sales plan and shelving objectives.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for leading the Frozen Business at Kroger for Frozen Potatoes- Snacks- Meals and Meatless Alternatives for NSV/CMA- consumption and share while staying within budget trade funds
  • Facilitates cross?functional partnerships with Marketing- Supply. Category Leadership/Sales Planning and Finance Teams to ensure we leverage industry trends and are investing into big bets while working with the customers to obtain mutual goals
  • Sets strategy and delivers business targets for Kraft Heinz at Kroger through plan development and implementation while leveraging the customer shelfing priorities- assortment optimization and F&D plans
  • Harnesses the power of diversity - thinking- background- and experience
  • Leverages available resources/scale to elevate executional excellence across cross functional business planning in category mgmt.- supply chain efficiency- technology- local marketing
  • Builds Kraft Heinz business with the customer. Measured by profitability achievement- share gains- revenue targets- special programs- new and core item introductions/distribution
  • Understands and utilizes insight information- both internal and external (competition)- to build total customer profits and plans
  • Services the customer by establishing positive business relationships with decision makers- providing category management expertise programs at the retail level.
  • Provides updates to management on competitive activity (both at Customer and in the market)- Customer specific strategy changes- key marketplace updates and other business related activities
  • Communicates and influence implementation of business plans to enable superior execution across key team members (i.e. SC- Broker- Retail)
  • Drives efficient and effective trade programs to deliver best ROI and within budget Administers volume and trade promotion spending levels within budget while managing trade dollars as percent of revenue for maximum results
  • Drive excellent customer service interfaces with key Kroger contacts to assess current service levels- understand areas for improvement and ensure improvement plans are implemented
  • Leads and/or assists with major business reviews and customer visits- including annual reviews and "top?to?top" meetings- depending on Customer


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3-5+ years of Account Management experience required
  • Strong sales background with excellent understanding of business processes and systems
  • Significant experience in building customer relationships
  • Strong financial acumen - understanding of profit and revenue drivers and analysis
  • Proficiency in deploying trade
