BIM Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Implement the nVent CADDY service strategy to provide Building Information Management (BIM) support for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) contractors
• Work alongside MEP contractors to model content related to nVent CADDY seismic products
• Drive revenue growth by identifying new areas to provide BIM support
• Guide development of family models for use internally and externally
• Collaborate with global counterparts on best practices and new technology
• Apply your deep experience with BIM modeling and clash detection to drive growth for MEP contractors
• Gain specialized knowledge in seismic codes and standards
• Help refine scope of work statements for the service offering
• Accurately interpret engineered seismic bracing prints and translate into BIM 3D modeling.
• interface effectively with internal and external customers
• Negotiate and work with outside agencies
• Work across time zones in a multi-cultural environment

YOU HAVE:

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or BIM Technology preferred, not required
• 3+ years of construction software experience.
• Knowledge of or able to learn the following: Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC, Bluebeam, Google Suite, Smartsheet, Excel, Dynamo, Open BIM (IFC)
• Ability to create content: Families including parametric, formula, nested and type catalogs data.
• Understanding of how to integrate Revit, ACC, Navisworks, and other Autodesk software with other applications.
